The idea of attending a workshop in L.A. on Information and Communication Technology was a welcome one! We couldn’t wait to enjoy the wonderful weather, ocean side on our day off and we were excited to continue on our IB PYP journey!

The weather did not disappoint!  8 of us arrived, eager and yearning for the sunshine after a full afternoon and evening of traveling. We took advantage of our surroundings and the only technology tools we used were our phones and cameras!  We needed to capture the moments and shared gleefully on Facebook, Instagram and we sent messages by text.

Susan and I were unsure of what we were hoping to get out of this workshop.  We knew that we wanted to continue with our quest to use technology as transformative teaching and learning tools and we discovered so many resources through our incredibly, knowledgeable workshop leader, Lara Jensen.  The format in which she rolled out the content of the workshop involved our reaching outside of our comfort zones as well as tapping into our own toolboxes of technological expertise.
